Sandbox! I want to make the Enshittification & Victim card articles. I have a rather scathing article written on my laptop about the former, which for a similar reason as to why I'm nervous about the other topic, I'm anxious about posting it here. I'll do my best.

Enshittification

Enshittification, also as Enshittenment & "the Age of Enshittification/Enshittenment" (wait, did I misinterpret that?), refers to the rapid increase of vocal anti-intellectualists, fundies (& similar), cranks (& similar), anti-scientists, &c., & their dumbass actions, which has become so profound that they, their batshit insanity, & their bullshit ideas have been brought back from near-death to fight once more, this time with undying vigor & new techniques. Think of it as "phase 2 global stupidity". The primary suspect of this munted shitshow happens to be Russia, complete with all of its propaganda, childish grudges from the last few failures, & especially their fancy new overseas indoctrination agent (dipped in copper, just to be sure!).

How does it work? It turns out that each human is selfish to some extent, & smarter ones tend to see that damage to their pride, ego, or ideas is not nearly as big of a deal as a lot of people think. This, coinciding with the fact that neither stupid nor average people are great at looking inward or evaluating what they think, creates the horrid behavior of fusing their worldview with the most comfortable idea, to which many defend with their lives. (citations needed?)

All of this did what you'd expect it would do, such as, besides the obvious, creating a unique autonomously-led cult with a charismatic thought rather than a leader, strengthening asshole corporations to keep up their shitty behavior, literally changing the structures of the enshittified's brains for the worse, & actively harming those trying to mind their own fucking business, especially scientists. (citations needed?)
